FAQ #1: What is the legal drinking age on Virgin Voyages ships?

Virgin Voyages is among the few cruise companies with US departures that allows travelers over the age of 18 to consume alcohol at sea. The bar will open for the ages of 18 to 20 in addition to adults 21 years of age or older as soon as the ship reaches international waters.

According to Virgin Voyages policy, guests under the age of 21 (i.e. 18-20) must be accompanied in the same or adjacent stateroom by a Guest 21 or older that specifically undertakes to be in-charge for the Under-21 Adult throughout the cruise trip.

FAQ #2: How much Drink you can Bring on Virgin Voyages?

Guests of age 21 or more are allowed to bring two 750ml bottles of wine per cabin. the wine bottles must be carried out in your carry-on bag and not in checked in luggage. It is prohibited to bring other alcoholic beverages like beer or spirits. You can bring water and soft drinks with you on the ship, but you really don’t need to because they are already included of the cruise fare.

Single-use plastics are not permitted on Virgin Voyages ships. Use cans or cartons rather than plastic bottles if you bring your own water or soft drinks.

Virgin Voyages don’t charge for following drinks as these are included in the cost of your cruise.

  • Filtered still and sparkling water
  • Fruit juices (not pressed)

  • Bar Tabs can be purchased up to 24 hours before you Virgin Voyages sailing.

No, they don’t. There are water refilling points situated throughout the ship. Other cruise lines might take advantage of cruisers by charging up to $5 per bottle, which can rapidly add up if you’re trying to remain hydrated.

Gym & Tonic

As this bar is surrounded by the gyms hence the name Gym & Tonic. In this bar you are going to find all of your fresh juices such as orange juice, smoothie and popular fresh juice called “Summer Heat”. On The Rocks

On The Rocks is the bar where you will get any drink that you want on the rocks. This bar has sexy vibe to it with low lights, so you can hide in the corner with your lover and have a kiss.  If you do want some live music on The Rocks is the place to go.

Pink Agave

The restaurant, Pink Agave has a separate bar where you can go in and just have a drink. You do not have to eat in there.  If you want an espresso martini or tequila, go to pink agave, no one makes these better. Pink Agave also have an amazing range of cocktails.
