Order through the app

Virgin Voyages app is useful for online check-in, Shore Things reservations, champagne delivery, and also for booking your room service menu. Once you’re on board, Virgin Voyages app gives you amazing experience to book dining and onboard activities.

You may get ShipEats delivered right to your cabin if you’re in need of a quick snack or a bite to eat. Another cool thing about ShipEats is that you go to the app within the app and wherever you are on a ship they’ll find your location and they’ll deliver to you don’t need to be in your room it’s as long as it’s daytime.

Once you’re done you just grab the bags put all the containers inside and put outside the door and someone will come and pick it up. Virgin Voyages also provide you The Band which is the key to your cabin, wallet, and Bar Tab all in one.

A Brief introduction to "ShipEats"

Through the Virgin Voyages App, you can use ShipEats, Virgin Voyages’ onboard food and drink delivery service. ShipEats is a solution to your midnight cravings because it delivers around-the-clock to sailors’ cabins, with the exception of the day of disembarkation, when it is not possible.

With its 24-hour meal delivery service, which is only a tap on your Virgin Voyages app away, Virgin Voyages not only provides food but also curates an upgraded experience.

Delivery of the Virgin Voyages Room Service Menu

A crew member on Virgin Voyages knocks on your door with a branded bag containing covered containers within.  This is quite similar to how Indian lunch delivery is done with Dabbawalas, which are essentially reusable, circular, stackable bento boxes.

It turns out that this is quite lightweight and practical as well. The tall bag’s back has a zipper that makes taking out your food simple.  The bag contains hot coffee thermoses and accessories, but guests receive other items—like espresso or cocktails separately.

Charges for Delivery

Room service is free for Rock Stars Quarters. If you’re in a regular room, then they do charge a small delivery fee, which can be paid through your Sailor Loot account. This reduces the number of unnecessary orders, where customers tend to order a snack or a meal and fall asleep without receiving the order.

Time for Order Delivery

Although the Virgin Voyage app indicates that delivery may take up to an hour, most orders are delivered in less than thirty minutes. This appears to be fantastic for prepared meals.

The approach made by Virgin Voyages to do things “differently” make sense and improve the experience of guests.  For instance, the technique of delivering food is just more useful for people whose cabins are smaller than average, and as an extra bonus, the multiple layers of reusable packaging might help keep things warmer.
